Unakite: metamorphic rock of altered granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and generally colorless quartz.
It is considered semi-precious and was originally discovered in the Unaka Mountains of North Carolina, United States.
Deposits have subsequently been discovered around the globe.
This necklace is a simple pattern of faceted Unakite 6-7mm cubes with smooth wooden beads and 4mm Moonstone rondelles.
The ethereal adularescence of the moonstone emphasizes the earthy features of the Unakite, making a piece that feels as if it absorbs energy, grounding it and the wearer. The wooden spacer beads add to this rooted feeling. A great necklace for the gardener in your life!
